We put a Kenyan subscription on every gift list for coffee lovers we know.  It makes our top 5 of coffees to drink with its balance of sweetness, bright and rich body.  OK, sometimes we gulp it.  Can’t help it.

Tasting Notes: When ground and brewed/extracted properly we detect a deep sweetness and tropical fruitiness, raisin, and citrus like bright acidity with cane sugar notes.

The Gitwe Farmers Cooperative Society was founded in 1983 with about 650 contributing members. Each smallhold farmer grows their coffee, as well as other crops, on land averaging 2-3 acres. Coffee is picked, then brought to the Society immediately for processing. The Cooperative assists its members in seed and fertilizer selection and on-site farming guidance.
