Enjoy all that Burundi has to offer in this magnificent coffee.  We detect a maple syrup sweetness with clove and peach notes.  Just a hint of floral rooibos and moderate lemon acidity.  Most farmers in this region of Burundi own less than half a hectare of land.  In addition to growing coffee, they also grow crops like bananas, beans, yams, taro, and cassava, both for sale and for household use.   Spiral Horn Coffee Co. donates all profits on the sale of our Burundi coffee to The Cries of a Child foundation.

The Cries of a Child (TCOAC) is a non-profit organization located in the mountains of Bukeye Burundi.  TCOAC is dedicated to responding to the cries of the forgotten in Burundi.  TCOAC’s  mission holistically restores and empowers poverty-stricken communities through the love of God.  Their keen focus for the past ten years has been on the most vulnerable—the children, the mothers, and Burundi neighbors in need.

The Cries of a Child has rooted themselves within these impoverished communities and has taken a holistic approach toward restoration and empowerment through:

• adopting orphaned and abandoned children into the TCOAC family;
• successfully building and operating a medical clinic that focuses on maternal care and child survival;
• implementing a social program that supports people that are in dire need and;
• a biblical training program that empowers and equips leaders in local churches and communities.

All profits from the sale of our Burundi coffee is donated to the The Cries of a Child foundation.  We want to continue helping this country by saying “thanks” to its farmers for producing great coffee.   Through our donations, “thanks” to a foundation so dedicated to helping the people of Burundi.
