Our Costa Rica Subscription features this wonderful honey process Costa Rica coffee.  Costa Rica started the honey process method and it has since spread to other countries in Central America. During processing, some or all of the mucilage of the coffee cherry is left on during the drying stage giving the coffee a unique sweetness.

Tasting Notes: When ground and brewed properly, we detect peach and caramel creme notes with the honey sweet finish of this wonderful coffee.  It is a great breakfast or after dinner coffee with a great dessert.

Coffee farms in Costa Rica average three hectares in the Tarrazú region.  This unique honey coffee is produced by a community of farmers who deliver to the San Diego wet mill. These farmers are carefully selected during the harvest based on their farm condition and cherry ripeness.  Beneficio San Diego is the most modern mill in Costa Rica. It was established in 1888 and has been innovating ever since.
